My debut novel, PLAYING THE CHANGES, will be published in November 2026. This “jazz-infused love story” follows the travails of Ray Stark, a hyper-rational neurosurgeon. After the death of his young daughter shatters his marriage, his career and his psyche, he is forced to relearn how to breathe, feel and love by returning to the jazz saxophone he abandoned decades earlier – forming an unlikely bond with a gruff, world-weary mentor as he struggles to unlock his emotions and win back his estranged wife before she’s gone for good.
